We are currently looking for a Sheeter Machine Operator to join our team and ensure that the Sheeter Machine operates efficiently at all times and that work produced is of the highest quality and low waste.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work together with crew to ensure standards and specifications of quality, productivity and efficiency are achieved and improved on.
• Ensure efficient MR/setup & running of the Sheeter.
• Maintaining quality standards.
• Maintaining productivity standards
• Maintaining and enchanting working relationship with other staff members.
• Ensuring that the sheeter is in good order at all times, by conducting preventative maintenance.
• Ensure productive and safe workplace (housekeeping).
• Perform any other task that may be required within their capacity.
• Record accurately and timeously on document generated in the control system i.e. time sheets and quality checks.
• Cost effective operation with less than 2% spoilage.
• Assist other staff members in problem solving and implementation of solutions.
• Training of staff members.

Advantageous Skills: 

• Experience with Radius (preferred)
• Microsoft Office Proficiency.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and capability to multitask/prioritize.
• Ability to work effectively within a team to provide a high level of support to the production department

Minimum Requirements: 

• Matric or N3-6 Trade theory or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as assigned.
• High level of attention to detail required.
• Ability to set up, operate, and maintain sheeter machine safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to communicate updates to team members effectively.
• Capacity to work independently and alongside a team.
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year experience in effectively operating the sheeter, with demonstrated on or above standard performance.
