As a customer and industry expert, the Graphics Optimization (GO) Manager integrates new business into MCC, ensuring the right print and decoration technology is chosen to fit supply chain needs while maintaining design intent

Responsibilities: 

Culture & Values

Customer & Design
  • Lead the effectiveness of customer relationships through personal engagement and regular visits.
  • Translate brand strategies for internal stakeholders, including Customer Service, Prepress, Technical, Production, and Sales.
  • Partner with artwork execution teams (customers, design firms, and color separators) to ensure designs are technically feasible and production-ready.
Commercial Execution
  • Recommend print and decoration technologies based on design, volume, and label type.
  • Design, manage, and oversee pre-production testing and print trials to validate graphics that cannot be accurately represented in prepress proofs and to optimize graphics, effects, and materials for both design integrity and production efficiency.
Teamwork & Collaboration
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and contribute to organizational goals beyond the immediate team.
Prepress Alignment
  • Collaborate with customer production art creators and color separators on file construction to meet design intent and print quality standards.
  • Participate in pre-production meetings with separators and MCC graphics teams to ensure alignment on print feasibility and color separation handling.
Resource & Project Management
  • Organize internal resources to meet design intent and account growth objectives.
  • Provide MCC stakeholders with project scope and requirements.
  • Manage artwork initiatives through Project Kick-Offs, Pre-Production Meetings, and Status Meetings.
Continuous Improvement
  • Drive process and technology improvements to enhance workflows and differentiate MCC from competitors.
  • Promote advanced color management and on-press measurement tools to improve speed to market, reduce waste, and elevate quality.
  • Manage post-production reviews and implement adjustments where needed.
Sampling & Mobility
  • Provide product samples and manage customer sample requests, including quotes and timelines.
  • Travel regularly to customer sites and MCC facilities to support sales and product launches.

Qualifications: 

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in prepress, print production, graphics optimization, or related print execution roles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of print processes and label decoration technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of prepress activities including color management, trapping, imposition, image development, and tooling.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills, with a track record of guiding teams and delivering results.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with prepress and color management software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Acrobat Pro, Esko, MeasureColor/ColorCert) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to balance customer needs with production realities. 

Other considerations: 

  • Primarily office-based with frequent presence on the production floor, including standing, walking, and light lifting during press runs.
