As Estimator you will be required to work with the Sales, Customer Service and Production Teams in providing pricing services and works instructions, in support of the company’s sales targets and profitability goals.

 

Key performance areas
 
  • new work specifications
  • completing contract and
  • tender pricing submissions 
  • maintaining price grids of contract clients internally
  • maintaining contract review schedules
  • assisting sales team with estimates when required and attending to any estimate-related enquiries
  • approval of estimate variations
  • monitoring MIS data outputs for error location
  • scrutinizing production costing and contributing to continuous improvement forums
  • providing cost analysis for any related requests
  • compilation of various weekly and monthly reports 
  • general MIS user support / problem solving
  • liaising with MIS service providers 
  • various other tasks related to this position.
 
Skills required
 
  • ± 5 years’ experience
  • Minimum grade 12 Senior certificate
  • Further education or certification in estimating is advantageous
  • Proficiency in MS office or equivalent software (Radius MIS and QlikView)
  • Self –motivated and directed with above average attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must display the ability to adjust in a highly dynamic and deadline driven environment.
  • Adhere to and follow Standard Operating procedures.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Team player with a “Can Do” attitude.
  • Flexible approach to handling peak time workloads.
