Flexographic Press Operator
Description
We are currently seeking to recruit a Flexographic Printer for our Daventry site. Reporting to the Shift Manager, the Printer is responsible for the day-to-day print manufacturing process as instructed through the print plan.
We are looking for candidates with previous print experience for this role.
This is what you need to do:
- Daily production of the print plan in accordance with the specification.
- Working in a safe manner at all times and support for the site safety objectives and reporting any safety concerns to the Production Supervisors.
- The timely and cost-conscious delivery of the print plan.
- Contribution and compliance to the Operations improvement forums through involvement and dialogue.
- Local adherence to the quality systems and input into the local risk assessments.
- Day to day adherence to the site environmental objectives.
- Personal development through coaching, internal courses and appraisal.
- Always working in accordance with the site guides and procedures.
- The strengthening of internal customer – supplier relationships by seeking to understand other team goals, particularly in the areas of SMED and yield.
Qualifications & Skills: To thrive in this role, you should possess:
- 2 + years as a printing press operator
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
- Proficiency with IT systems, including in-house database software.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
- A high level of responsibility, reliability, and flexibility, combined with a strong work ethic.
- A strong commitment to quality and safety in the workplace
Hours of work:
Shift Pattern is on a weekly rotating basis with a short/early finish on Fridays
- Early: Monday to Thursday 6am – 1.45pm; Fridays – 6am to 11.30am
- Late: Monday to Thursday 1.30pm – 9.15pm; Fridays – 11.15am – 5pm
Salary: £33,000 - £36,000 DOE
