Responsibilities:
- Check for new sales Orders (Each Sales Order can have from 1 to 44-line items).
- Check, collect, print and record keep order acknowledgements from Cost Estimator make sure it aligns with ink coverage and pricing.
- Analyse the Master Estimate for each item and create new ones where required.
- Create Production Jobs for all items on the sale order.
- Check and change descriptions for each item before releasing the Production Job to planning.
- Ensure all production orders are correct before releasing to the production floor.
- Check Technical Information – Unwinds / label Size / Sleeve size to Artwork.
- Delete Jobs on request from Customer Service Reps.
- Create Rework Jobs on request from Quality Department.
- Recreate orders with quantity changes.
- Liaise with Customer Service Reps for proofing instructions, jacket numbers for sales orders and specification sheets if not supplied before processing job/production orders.
- Check and query artwork if it does not match the specification sheet. (Pitch size, sleeve to use etc.)
- Serve as a backup to the Planner.
- Follow-up on customer urgencies with production.
- Support the Technical and CI department with projects.
- General Ad hoc duties as assigned by your direct manager.
- Minimum 3 years proven experience in the packaging and labelling industry.
- Minimum grade 12 Senior certificate.
- Strong estimating and administrative skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High levels of accuracy.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS office or equivalent software.
- ERP (Radius an advantage).
- The ideal candidate must be a team player, accountable, responsible and extremely reliable, disciplined, physically fit and pays attention to detail.
