Job title: Layout Coordinator

Responsibilities:  

  • Perform analysis within trouble ticket to determine root cause. 
  • Understands label layout programs Engview, DPP and quotes (gripper, register marks, color bars, justification). 
  • Build layouts for Cut & Stack plants utilizing the Not on Combo Report (NOC), sorting by substrate, colors, families, size, quantity (understanding general rule of 10% overproduction). 
  • Understands combination and customer specific dedicated layout requirements, ensuring engineer white waste stays within provided target. 
  • Knowledge of print to cut, utilization of under sizing, and grain direction. 
  • Follow layout mix prevention rules and customer specific rules, building layouts accordingly. 
  • Working directly with CSR’s when necessary to fulfill the customer requirements. 
  • Utilize stock that is greater than 90 days on layouts, list is provided by warehouse. 
  • Understanding press requirements, level loading each press. 
  • Printing layouts and docket fronts as they are created for prepress production. 
  • Manage daily work requirements, ensuring layouts are done in time to meet production delivery date. 
  • Regular email management. 
  • Other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications: 

  • The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one.
  • Must be able to read and understand the job specifications.
  • Must have computer skills, and the ability to learn new programs.
  • Must take responsibility and ownership for one’s own performance and accept challenging goals.
  • The minimal math ability is addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages.
  • Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but straightforward written and oral instructions.
  • Must be organized, attention to detail and able to work in a fast-paced environment, independently.
  • Must be able to deal with problems involving a few variables. Must understand when to involve supervision in the problem solving process.
  • Wear required PPE in the production areas and follow all safety protocols.
