The purpose of this position is to support hourly team members by ensuring they have the tools and resources needed to accomplish individual and team goals. This position reports to the Finishing Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Promotes and monitors safe work habits by all plant personnel daily and report any issues or violations.
  • Conduct Plant Tours and Safety Audits.
  • Monitors QA Specifications daily on all processes and report any issues.
  • Investigates root cause of quality issues.
  • Ensures that all Team Members are following the production schedule and checks the shipping list for upcoming releases.
  • Provides troubleshooting and repair assistance to Team Members.
  • Facilitates team discussions, problem solving, and actively seeks Team Member input on process improvements.
  • Help remove obstacles restricting productivity.
  • Accountable for shift productivity and achieving production targets.
  • Assists Team Members with process decisions.
  • Coordinates staffing assignments based on direction from Finishing Manager.
  • Accountable for preventative maintenance and keeping compliance.
  • Monitors SOP compliance and implements SOP changes and generation of new SOPs.
  • Conducts training on new SOPs and changes to SOPs.
  • Supports, participates, and facilitates Team Member “On the Job Training” initiatives.
  • Communicates daily with on-coming and out-going crews any issues or concerns.
  • Utilize and minimize machine downtime to accomplish Company objectives.
  • Oversee the accuracy of the Team Member’s daily production reports and entries.
  • Working knowledge of ISO quality management systems requirements.
  • Must follow applicable Food Safety related policies and procedures.
  • Payroll, attendance and timekeeping responsibilities as needed.
  • 22.Provides input and assist with Performance Management process for Team Members.
  • Supports both the Quality and Maintenance departments on any related issues concerning the converting processes or machines.
  • Review layouts for accuracy.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED. Significant experience related directly to position duties may be considered as substitute for formal education.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to various internal and external audiences in both person and various electronic media.
  • Ability to manage time and work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work with internal and external individuals, demonstrating a high level of professionalism.
  • Ability to use and a working knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), and plant systems 
  • Highly organized, detail oriented.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and personal growth.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use and a working knowledge of office equipment (copiers, fax machines, scanners).
  • Technical operational knowledge of Converting processes.

  • Ability to organize, schedule, and perform multiple tasks effectively.
