Description:
The tooling coordinator works with the MCC Knoxville team, our suppliers, and our sister plants to ensure tooling and procurement needs are met on time while staying within budget.

Responsibilities:
- Tooling procurement and inventory management
- Unpacking, inspecting, and racking incoming tools
- Replacing worn out, damaged, and/or non-conforming tools
- Sending tools for repair
- Transferring tools to/from other MCC plants
- Troubleshooting tooling issues on press when needed
- Internal tooling calibration and external calibration with suppliers
- Communicating with suppliers and evaluating new tooling innovations and cost reduction opportunities
- Working with plant GM and controller on achieving monthly budgets for each GL account
- Plant procurement for other consumable items
- Participating in special projects and performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Able to read & understand layout and prints
- Ability to read and understand standard and metric units of measure
- Ability to utilize various measuring tools for inspection (rulers, calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Familiarity with other basic hand and power tools
- Fundamental understanding of rotary tooling in the context of pressure-sensitive flexographic printing
- Good organization skills
- Excellent mechanical aptitude
- Experience in MRP/ERP systems (EFI Radius or equivalent a plus)
- Experience in managing multiple supply bases in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to manage GL accounts and budgets
- Ability to stand for up to four hours at a time and lift up to 35lbs
- Must be able to work around/with magnets
