We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team.  The main purpose of Quality Technician position is to perform on-line quality audits, raw materials testing, product testing and report test results as needed.  This position supports the Manufacturing, Technical Service, Quality, Sales, Purchasing, and Research & Development departments in raw stock, in-process labels, and finished label testing relative to established specifications. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Competency in the use of appropriate quality tools and techniques in the manufacturing and service functions – SOPs, SPC, QMS and Quality Auditing Systems.
  • Work together with staff to review factory SOPs into a new format in alignment with Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Administer lab calibration schedules,
  • Wet chemistry applications and Raw & Finished goods incoming inspection.
  • Apply the tools and technique for effective implementation of Quality assurance.
  • Improve current QA/QC practices to an effective Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems.
  • Develop a QA and QC measurement, validation and reporting system for the processes.
  • Apply root-cause analysis and preventative measures, working together with teams.
  • Complete QMS audits in the factory and drive corrective action implementation.

Experience/ Skills Required: 

  • Undergraduate or Post-Graduate in Quality related studies
  • Adequate knowledge of importance of quality and its dimension in striving for excellence
  • Close attention to detail and accuracy
  • Problem solving skills
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge advantageous
  • Familiarity with various approaches of QMS techniques
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
