The EMEA IT Business Systems division is looking for adding a Business Analyst, who will work on activities related to the support, improvement and roll outs of several business IT systems throughout Europe and Africa. 

  

The Role 

  

In this exciting and varied role, you will: 

  • Participate in projects for the implementation and evolution of business systems (ERP, BI, MIS, Scheduling, Data Collection, etc.) on plants located between Europe and Africa;
  • Roll-out standard processes/configurations and identify functionality gaps;
  • Analyze and review the Business Requirements and client change requests, and assess their nature (development request, defect, set up error, …) and priority;
  • Provide the development team with exhaustive test cases on detected defects;
  • Deliver client training;
  • Carry out support activities for business systems, using ticketing systems;
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, through the analysis and optimization of processes;
  • Contribute to the evolution of business systems through their configuration, the development of reports, and the creation of interfaces to third parties;
  • Undertake testing and production of new releases or patches;
  • Constantly collaborate with colleagues located in different globally distributed groups.

  

The Person 

  

To succeed in this role you will: 

  • Hold a Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science or similar;
  • Have at least 3 years of work experience related to the implementation and support of complex business systems, such as ERP or similar;
  • Have very good familiarity with report development, including use of Crystal Reports, which would be considered a plus;
  • Have expert knowledge of SQL language and the ability to navigate and extract and import data to and from databases;
  • Be experienced in writing SQL queries;
  • Be a natural problem-solver;
  • Have a client-focused mindset;
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • Have experience of presenting complex information in a clear and structured way;
  • Be autonomous, rigorous and well organized;
  • Be resilient under pressure;
  • Have the ability to work on your own initiative and adhere to deadlines, being flexible and adaptable;
  • Be eager to learn and self-train on new business areas within the label printing industry;
  • Be ready to travel around Europe and Africa, up to 20% of the working time.

  

Optional but Desirable 

  

Working knowledge of: 

  • Production management systems (Scheduling, MRP, data collections, quality management, etc. in Printing or other manufacturing environments.
  • EFI Radius
  • Process description notations (BPMN, flow chart)
  • Agile methodologies
  • ServiceNow or another ticketing system

Additional Information 

  

To apply for this role you must already have the right to live and work in Italy and have the ability to travel unrestricted both within Europe and Africa.  Visa sponsorship is not provided.

The office will be in Lucca, but the contract will provide for forms of smart working, to be agreed. Applications from more experienced figures are also evaluated and the remuneration will be commensurate with the actual experience.
