Job Summary:
Leads to drive the continuous improvement effort to improve safety performance, product quality, improve downtime and inefficiencies, drive cost-savings, and employee performance. Creates strategic lean transformation plan and drives preparation and execution of improvement efforts throughout the facility by utilising a participative team approach and strong project management skills to obtain multi-million dollar cost saving initiatives. Supervision of all aspects of technological processes: planning and monitoring of production operations, taking into account costs and efficiency, technological supervision of subsequent production phases. Supervision of current production technology.  
 
 
 
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Develops and maintains lean transformation plan including value stream maps to identify key opportunities to eliminate waste and improve performance based on strategy deployment and business results.
  • Collaborates with leaders to execute Gemba walk process (Managing for Daily Improvement), utilising and constantly improving the production floor and in the office areas. Drives all levels of leaders to implement continuous improvement and eliminate flow inhibitors (anything that disrupts customer satisfaction and production).
  • Leading the plant-wide cost savings program to meet and/or exceed annual targets. This includes identification, validation, and execution of projects
  • Establishing and maintaining plant KPI’s and visual factory tools, and serving as subject matter expert.
  • Communicate Lean CI vision to plant/department leaders and implement lean CI strategy at the plant level.
  • Communicate monthly productivity and CI results to management and corporate CI team.
  • Develop and implement CI roadmap to improve flow of materials and other improvements as defined by CI roadmap.
  • Execute CI roadmap within the sites. Participate/teach/lead the deployment of CI projects.
  • Establish standardised work and audit schedule for sustainment. Drive and improve the metrics.
  • Implement CI best practices across the plants/functional areas and share with the organisation.
  • Teach problem-solving skills to all employees, promoting the use of problem-solving tools within the plants/functional areas, and become a subject matter expert.
  • Support the Quality Management System.
  • Supervision over the technological development of new labels (setting the printing configuration, determining the printing technology, assigning a machine, etc.)
  • Participating in solving printing-related problems.
  • Organizing and supervising the work of Technology Department employees (MCC factory in Poznań), setting them goals and tasks and enforcing their proper implementation
  • Determining and periodic verification of material and time standards for individual operations, establishing and controlling technological processes (correctness of the production process, taking into account the quality of the final product, its production costs, compliance with the adopted technological standards)
  • Taking actions aimed at optimizing and improving production
  • Development and implementation of new technological processes into production (if the company needs): new raw materials, paints, special effects and label designs - appropriate documentation of the testing and implementation phase.
  • Supervision over cooperation on new label designs with employees of the Sales Department and Graphic Preparation Room, cooperation with other company departments related to the technological process and production implementation.
  • Supervision over the currency and completeness of technological documentation.
  • Participating in meetings with suppliers regarding new products and projects (raw materials, paints, etc.)
