SAAS / B2B Sales Consultant – SMTP

Job Summary:

Seeking a high-energy Sales Professional who can build relationships with new and existing customers for long-term growth.  With their research skills, business acumen, and desire to create and build relationships over time, SAAS consultant will communicate directly with clients and prospects, understand their individual needs, and set them up for long-term growth to maximize customer lifetime value (CLV).  The SAAS Consultant should be an adaptable, knowledgeable multi-tasker with strong and communication skills. 

The successful candidate will be adept at discovery - quick to understand a prospect’s business and problems, and have a sense of where to investigate further, to recognize opportunities that are much larger than current send volumes and MRR.  They should be highly capable at turning these high-potential growth opportunities into reality at a pace that makes sense for the customer.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, passionate about client relations, and focused on enhancing the buyer experience.

Job Duties:

  • Present, promote and sell our SMTP.com platform through inbound leads to new and existing clients within a defined geographical territory
  • Generate sales among client accounts, including upselling and cross-selling
  • Meeting and /or exceeding monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets
  • Ability to identify and close new sales opportunities and also grow business with existing clients
  • Continuously updating and maintaining prospects for pipeline management, daily activity and forecast data in Salesforce
  • Managing and nurturing the Sales process from the sales lead to close
  • Maximizing sales in a defined territory
  • Providing return on investment (ROI) solutions in the form of product and service proposals
  • Building long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with external contacts and internal departments to create a better customer experience.
  • Identify and understand customers’ needs and help implement solutions
  • Compiling and analyzing data to find trends.

Job Requirements and Experience:

  • Proven 2+ years of work experience as Sales Professional, in a SAAS space preferred.
  • Well-spoken, highly inspired/determined and goal orientated
  • An understanding of common sales cycles
  • Experience in prospecting, discovery, proposals, contract review, and closing tactics
  • Pleasant communication and committed negotiation skills
  • Experience and comfortable with delivering web presentations to individuals as well as to groups 
  • Establish interpersonal relationships paired with an ability to build rapport with diverse clients in a variety of settings.
  • Team player with Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Participate in weekly meetings to discuss personal goals as well as team goals for the upcoming week/month.
  • The drive and energy to manage multiple accounts while looking for new opportunities.
