TITLE: Bilingual - Spanish Mental Health Therapist (multiple locations and programs in the Portland-Metro area)
POSITION: Full-Time/ In-Person 
SALARY: $34.59/hr. - 42.57/hr. ($71,950/yr. - $88,549/yr.)

Position Summary:
Morrison Child & Family Services is immediately hiring mental health therapists to join our outpatient teams!
The Outpatient Mental Health Therapist position provides mental health treatment services for youth, ages 2-18, and their families. The position is in-person, but clients can receive services in-person or via telehealth. Therapists work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and their clients may also access skills training, case management, SUD treatment services, and medication management. The therapist’s caseload size is dependent on their program (clinic, community-based, or school-based) and on each of their clients’ level of need (level of care) and engagement. 
 
The community-based position provides short-term (typically 6-8 months) intensive mental health services for youth and families experiencing acute behavioral health and crisis support needs. This position includes an on-call crisis line rotation, and therapists receive a stipend for each week they are on-call. There is also a $2,000 hiring bonus for the community-based position! 
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides mental health services for youth, ages 2-18, and their families: assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, individual, and family therapy.  
  • Provides case management, crisis support, safety planning, coordination of care, referrals to ancillary and/or specialty services, and group therapy, as needed. 
  • Completes all clinical documentation in accordance with state, federal and organizational requirements, emphasizing collaborative documentation.  
  • Abides by the appropriate code of ethics and follows all of Morrison’s policies and procedures. 
  • Is present and punctual for work, supervision and/or meetings. Works well within a team environment, sharing workload, credit, and opportunities.  
  • Completes other duties as assigned to ensure successful operation of program or department. 
Experience/Education Requirements 
    • Master’s level degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field 
    • Experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health, social services, educational, or other related setting 
    • Bilingual in Spanish, both written and spoken 
     
    Other Requirements: 
    • Pass a DHS (Department of Human Services) criminal history background  
    • If driving for position, must meet agency driving requirement  
    • If bilingual, must pass language proficiency testing 
    Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50-75% of the time. (depending on ages of clients)
