Responsibilities:

• Communicate with clients to assess their needs and provide recommendations
• Create and maintain beautiful lawns using a variety of equipment to apply fertilizers and weed control as well as aerate and overseed lawns
• Monitor, diagnose, and treat insect, disease, and cultural conditions
• Be proactive in anticipating what will occur under vary conditions and act accordingly

• Select appropriate product(s) or treatment(s) for the service needed
• Accurately, calibrate, and maintain equipment
• Complete applications according to DEC, label instructions and safety procedures
• Complete jobs by entering accurate data into our CRM as it relates to record keeping, DEC reporting
• Interact respectfully to all team members, clients, vendors etc.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in lawn care treatments along with appropriate state pesticide applicators license is required

• Knowledge of common cool season turfgrass types and issues
• Good understanding of insect & disease life cycles, plant biology, and soil biology
• Comprehensive experience with ride on spray, application, and aeration equipment is required

• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation to & from work
• Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to learn and ability to follow instructions
• Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Hours vary per week (40+) based on weather conditions and time of year.  We don't currently expect you to work on Saturday's but the hours can be available if you are interested.  We offer competitive pay ($25-$30/HR depending on experience), paid time off & holiday pay, profit sharing, 401K benefits, continuing education, opportunity for seasonal or year round work, and the opportunity for growth within the company.
