Job Title: NPD Commercial Coordinator

Location: Holkham, Norfolk

Reporting To: Senior Commercial Manager

As part of the New Product Development (NPD) team, the Commercial Coordinator role is an exciting opportunity to join our fast paced, energetic business, to help us continue with our ambitious development and growth plans.

 

The successful candidate will join this high energy team, helping to support the important commercial function that keeps the NPD team running strongly and successfully. As Commercial Coordinator, you will work & learn, to provide resources, knowledge and tools that help the team deliver exceptional product to our consumers, and support the company’s growth and profitability. 

 

Working very closely with the Senior Commercial Manager, you will drive input and close coordination within the daily running of the team function, by delivering to varying project briefs in parallel with taking responsibility and ownership of multiple commercial coordination (product costs, product analysis, benchmarking, product data attribute management)

 

This role has strong potential for a candidate looking for progression, with the role providing ‘on the job’ training across the different facets of the team making it a strong place to learn and develop in.

This is a Norfolk based role with a requirement for a minimum of 4 days per week at our Holkham office, with the ability for remote working for 1 day of the week.

What you’ll do

Commercial NPD Development

-          Issue costing templates to suppliers and chase costs, taking a considered approach to avoid unnecessarily overloading of suppliers

-          Input all received costs into the master costing file and perform accuracy checks (eg Silver Weight, Diamond Quantity, Cost per Ct, Plating uplifts etc) and push back issues with accuracy to suppliers

-          Support with Commercial Presentation Maintenance, ensuring distribution and RRP’s are correct based on ranging decisions. Identify gaps or unconfirmed decisions

-          Support with integration between commercial and product development as products are reverse engineered, with pre-alignment on cost & attribute targets

NPD Launch Planning

-          Own the Handover Process from NPD to the Merchandising Team which will trigger the ordering of NPD launch quantities within Critical Path timelines

-          Pull together range line lists to be shared to internal and external teams

Range Insights

-          Produce and issue quarterly and monthly Top 20 reports to internal teams

-          Produce sales insights & performance analysis as and when required, for internal reporting purposes

Benchmarking

-          Ownership for ordering, expensing, documentation and filing benchmark samples for use within meetings

-          Management of benchmark samples in an orderly way to maximise output

-          Provide regular External Benchmarking analysis, understanding how our portfolio sits within the market and providing insights on both design, price point, materials etc of our competitors for discussion within the team and input into internal pricing strategy

RRPs

-          Supporting work on RRP insights & analysis, benchmarking and proposed changes in line with RRP reviews

Additional Requirements

Ability to document your authorisation to work in the United Kingdom.

Travel Requirements

Ad hoc travel to our London office will be required
