Location: Acton Warehouse - Onsite

Reporting To: IT Operations Manager (Alex Fairhurst)

The IT support Assistant role is an exciting opportunity to help assist the wider IT Team with troubleshooting IT issues across the Acton site, setting up equipment, and helping to ensure that the operations team have zero downtime during our key peak period. We are looking for someone who has a genuine passion for technology and is looking to upskill themselves in this area. This could be the perfect opportunity for someone who has always wanted to start a career in IT but does not know where to begin their journey.

 

What you’ll do

        Work within a fast paced IT Service Desk environment you will assist the team with providing onsite IT Support to the operations team at our Acton warehouse.

        Set up pack/work benches, which includes moving equipment, arranging network cables, and mounting tablets and monitors.

        Help to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair on-premise IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.

        Assist with prioritising and updating service desk tickets.

        Escalate any issues to the IT Operations Manager or other members of the IT Team.

        Take ownership of support requests making sure they are resolved to the highest standards and within agreed SLA’s.

        Ensure that everything we do complies with IT / Cyber Security best practice.

What you’ll bring

Essential

         Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

         Experience in a fast paced customer (internal or external) focused environment.

        Exceptional customer service.

        The ability to build trusted relationships through a professional but personable approach.

        Be able to quickly learn new technologies and then support our user base in their use.

        Be able to multitask with the ability to prioritise your own workload.

        Have a genuine passion for technology.

 

Desirable

        Working knowledge of MV Operational platforms. (CP, Web Opps App, etc)

        Good understanding of PC Hardware & IT Systems such as Windows, Mac, etc

        Experience working within a fast paced IT Service Desk environment.

        Experience of working with Google Workspace.

        A working understanding of IT and Information Security principles.

        A relevant IT Qualification e.g CompTIA.

Additional Requirements

Ability to document your authorisation to work in the United Kingdom.

Travel Requirements

Travel to our London / Norfolk office, Acton warehouse or UK retail outlets may be required.
