The Junior Retoucher role is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Brand team, working alongside our in-house Retoucher to bring to life elevated product imagery for a fixed term placement of 6 months.
The ideal candidate is an organised retoucher ideally with experience retouching to a high level for luxury brands. Any experience retouching jewellery is a plus. They should have strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail and colour and feel comfortable communicating their bandwidth, taking direction and applying feedback from senior team members. If you are comfortable juggling multiple projects, thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this could be the perfect role for you. |
What you’ll do |
Retouch e-commerce flatlay and on model product photography images to a high and consistent standard in line with Brand guidelines Ensure colour consistency between image and physical product Name and maintain digital asset file/structure organisation and upload images to DAM Ensure all imagery is sized correctly to support correct delivery Collaborate with photographers as needed to give direction and troubleshoot as they’re shooting - giving insight to what can be achieved in post to be consistent with the guidelines Consistently checking own work for errors with minimal amends Have strong understanding of workflow and deadlines with the ability to react quickly to email requests and action where necessary Be responsible for completion of work to daily and weekly deadlines, being sure to communicate any concerns with meeting agreed targets Be proactive and able to show initiative/ideas to constantly improve the service of the studio team Carry out ad hoc duties within the content team when required including updating trackers with statuses Liaise effectively with other departments involved in the studio process Provide clear and effective communication to the Creative Content Manager, updating on progress, key dates and deadlines to ensure the smooth delivery of targets

What you’ll bring |
High technical proficiency in Photoshop, Adobe Creative and Mac OS. Experience using CaptureOne is ideal, but not essential. Strong retouching skills Strong understanding of colour, colour space and RGB to CMYK conversions Proven ability to work efficiently on a high volume of images and meet challenging deadlines Proven experience retouching product (Jewellery) photography is ideal, but not essential Previous experience working within a digital photographic studio is ideal, but not essential Proficient understanding of studio and retouch workflow Proactive work ethic Positive can-do attitude Excellent eye for detail Understanding of print, digital and file specifications
