Role Purpose
This role is a key member of the North American Finance Team that is responsible for assisting in commercial finance reporting, business planning and automation across the business, support will also extend to accounting activity and will liaise with business stakeholders to prepare and report on the business condition, e.g., KPI trending, finance metric reporting, and finance and accounting analysis for the North American business. The role will also involve working on monthly and quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, medium-/long-term planning, commission calculation and analysis, and any other ad-hoc analysis/projects, as needed.
Key Accountabilities
Monitor and prepare KPI reporting and analyze financials:
- Understand the key business drivers to analyze the performance of business units and shape future forecasts and decision-making information.
- Assist in preparation of monthly flash forecasts, reviewing, identifying and explaining unusual items.
- Assist in the evolution and management of monthly financial pack by adding to the financials KPI reporting used to understand the business drivers.
- Identify areas for improvement in reporting and performance
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders:
- Develop and build working relationships across the business and the global finance organization.
- Identify and escalate information bottlenecks and delays to management.
Support preparation of the annual budget and intra-year forecasting:
- Assist in the creation and modelling of key forecast assumptions and critically review/challenge business unit assumptions supporting the medium-term plan.
- Form additive opinions on forecasting assumptions through historical trend analysis and commercial/industry knowledge.
- Assist in the preparation of budget templates to support key budget/forecast assumptions.
MTP Tracking and Reporting:
- Support management in the delivery of key initiatives by tracking and reporting on the medium-term plan.
Support NA Accounting in key Financial Control processes and procedures as required:
- Leverage existing knowledge and learned internal workings to support key Financial Control processes and procedures.
Process improvement:
- Support the synthesis of large unstructured data sets and assist in driving further automation.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience in financial analysis
- Highly capable in financial modelling and excel
Desirable:
- Database knowledge
- Experience in the FX payments or financial services industry
- Experience working in a FP&A and/or Accounting team
Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Demonstrable ability to question and analyse financials and business drivers
Desirable:
- Macros modelling experience
- Experience using SQL database management and writing SQL queries
- Working knowledge of reporting and dashboarding via Tableau (or equivalent)
Education:
- Relevant Finance or Accounting degree required
- FMVA certification highly desirable
- Part qualified or newly qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CPA a plus

- This role offers a salary of $60,000-75,000 per annum + discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
