Role Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced Technology Project Manager to deliver strategic, regulatory and business-critical technology initiatives across Moneycorp’s change portfolio.
Reporting to the Head of Technology Programme Management Office, you will lead projects from initiation through implementation, operational readiness and closure, working closely with Engineering, Architecture, Information Security, Operations, Product, Risk, Compliance and business stakeholders.
You will be accountable for delivering agreed outcomes within scope, schedule, budget and quality expectations, whilst effectively managing risks, dependencies, suppliers and stakeholders. The role requires a commercially aware and delivery-focused leader who can confidently engage executive sponsors, navigate complexity and drive collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Role Responsibilities:
Project Mobilisation and Planning
- Lead the initiation, shaping and mobilisation of technology and business change projects from approved demand through to delivery.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, success measures, acceptance criteria and resource requirements.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans covering delivery milestones, dependencies, testing, implementation, service transition and closure activities.
- Establish realistic delivery, budget and resource baselines, ensuring effective change control throughout the project lifecycle.
Delivery Leadership and Execution
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring agreed outcomes are achieved within scope, schedule, budget and quality expectations.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Architecture, Information Security, Operations, Product, Risk, Compliance and business functions.
- Monitor progress against plans, proactively identify delivery risks and issues, and implement corrective actions where required.
- Manage cross-project dependencies, critical paths, resource contention and delivery priorities to maintain momentum and achieve successful outcomes.
- Maintain a clear understanding of business objectives and challenge constructively where delivery decisions may impact strategic outcomes.
Governance, Risk and Control
- Establish and maintain effective project governance, reporting and decision-making forums.
- Manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, actions and decisions through robust controls and clear ownership.
- Escalate material risks and issues with impact assessments, recommended actions and decision requirements.
- Ensure project changes, exceptions and risk acceptances are appropriately documented, reviewed and approved.
- Maintain accurate records and evidence to support governance, audit and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
- Build trusted relationships with executive sponsors, business leaders, technology teams, control functions and external partners.
- Facilitate effective collaboration across functions, fostering alignment around priorities, commitments and delivery outcomes.
- Deliver clear, concise and decision-focused reporting on progress, financials, risks, dependencies and forecasts.
- Act as the focal point for stakeholder engagement, driving timely decisions and resolving delivery blockers.
Financial, Resource and Supplier Management
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, accruals, actuals and financial performance in line with PMO and Finance standards.
- Provide accurate forecasting, variance analysis and estimates to complete throughout the project lifecycle.
- Plan, coordinate and optimise internal and external resources, identifying capacity and capability gaps early.
- Manage third-party suppliers and delivery partners against contractual commitments, milestones, quality standards and commercial objectives.
Operational Readiness and Service Transition
- Ensure security, architecture, risk, compliance, resilience and operational requirements are embedded throughout delivery.
- Coordinate design governance, testing, business acceptance and deployment readiness activities.
- Work with operational teams to establish support models, documentation, training, monitoring and service ownership arrangements.
- Ensure all residual risks, defects and post-implementation actions are clearly documented, owned and governed.
Continuous Improvement and Portfolio Contribution
- Complete formal project closure activities, including acceptance, operational handover, financial reconciliation and benefits transition.
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to the continuous improvement of delivery frameworks, standards, tooling and governance practices.
- Support portfolio planning, prioritisation, dependency management and executive reporting through the provision of accurate project information.
- Promote best practice project management disciplines and provide guidance to colleagues and stakeholders where appropriate.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience delivering complex technology and business change initiatives from initiation through to implementation and operational handover.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels, including executive sponsors, without direct line management authority.
- Strong track record of delivering outcomes within agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality expectations.
- Experience operating within regulated environments and applying appropriate governance, risk and control frameworks.
- Ability to manage project financials, resources, suppliers, risks, dependencies and change throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to drive alignment and secure timely decisions.
- Practical experience applying Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, planning and organisational skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities.
- Experience working within a structured PMO environment and maintaining accurate delivery and governance artefacts.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Financial services, payments, banking, fintech industry experience.
- Delivery of cloud, infrastructure, cyber security, platform, software engineering or enterprise transformation initiatives.
- Experience of operational readiness, service transition and business change adoption.
- Exposure to portfolio management, demand management or investment governance processes.
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ, PMP or equivalent project management qualification.
- Agile certification (AgilePM, Scrum, SAFe or equivalent).
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent continuous improvement qualification.
Location and Contract Type:
This is a full-time, permanent position with an opportunity to work on a hybrid working model from
our Bucharest office.
