Job Profile
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join Moneycorp’s Transformation Office. Reporting to the Transformation Lead, you will support the delivery of strategic Payments and FX transformation programmes by bringing structure, pace and analytical rigour to complex cross-functional change.
The role will help create the data, analysis and governance needed for evidence-based decisions across transformation priorities, including global platform change, US Bank alignment, operational efficiency, regulatory delivery and operating-model design.
Working closely with Product, Operations, Technology, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Architecture and external partners, you will translate business priorities into clear requirements, process maps, delivery artefacts and decision materials. You will support roadmap planning, dependency management, RAID, benefits tracking and executive reporting across the Transformation Office.
The Senior BA will lead discovery and requirements workshops, produce functional and non-functional specifications, define controls, document data and process impacts, and ensure requirements are traceable, testable and aligned to agreed outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Business analysis
- Maintain a clear view of transformation scope, priorities, dependencies, RAID and delivery milestones
- Work closely with programme managers, Product, Technology, Operations, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Architecture and business stakeholders
- Apply consistent business analysis standards, ensuring requirements, assumptions, baselines and benefits are clearly documented
- Prepare structured analysis, options and recommendations to support leadership decisions and governance forums
Project scoping for IT development
- Work with stakeholders and third parties to define business processes, requirements, operating-model impacts and delivery scope
- Support business users and sponsors in assessing scope, benefits, risks, capacity impacts and delivery trade-offs
- Act as the link between delivery teams, vendors, Design Authority and business stakeholders to ensure joined-up decisions
- Manage and prioritise backlogs, user stories, defects and change requests, recommending practical actions where issues arise
- Identify, log and help resolve risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies, escalating items that require leadership decision
- Assess change requests and their impact on scope, cost, timeline, controls, vendors, operations and benefits
Business Requirements
- Draft, review and maintain business requirements, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria and supporting analysis
- Ensure requirements are agreed with business sponsors and remain traceable to outcomes, controls and benefits
- Follow the agreed sign-off and governance process, capturing decisions, assumptions, risks and exceptions
- Create and maintain project collateral, including process maps, requirement catalogues, decision logs and benefit assumptions
Delivery discipline
- Deliver agreed analysis, controls, requirements and reporting outputs to Transformation Office standards and timelines
Structured challenge
- Use structured questioning and evidence gathering to clarify ambiguity, test assumptions and identify practical options
- Pre-empt risks and stakeholder concerns by presenting balanced recommendations, impacts and mitigation options
Information management
- Maintain accurate outputs from workshops, meetings and governance forums, including decisions, actions, assumptions and next steps
Reporting
- Compile clear project, workstream and executive reporting covering progress, risks, issues, decisions, benefits and delivery confidence
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong business analysis experience across complex, multi-workstream transformation programmes
- Agile delivery experience, including backlogs, epics, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Strong understanding of IT systems, SaaS/vendor delivery models, data and integration dependencies
- Financial services experience, ideally in payments, FX, banking, regulatory change or transformation
- Experience with process mapping, data analysis, operating-model impacts, controls and benefits tracking
- Proficient with Confluence, JIRA, analytical tools and Copilot / AI-enabled ways of working
- ROI, benefits and value analysis, including baselines, assumptions and benefit ownership
- Able to map end-to-end processes, customer journeys, controls, data flows and operating-model impacts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce concise executive-ready analysis
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, dependencies and stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, ambiguous and highly regulated transformation environment
- Able to build credibility with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership and Board-level audiences
- Structured problem solver with sound judgement, critical thinking and influencing skills
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a federated transformation team
- Relevant business analysis, change, project delivery or Agile qualification preferred
- Collaborative, credible and able to build trust across functions
- Proactive, self-motivated and delivery focused
- Calm, professional and confident in ambiguous or pressurised situations
- Curious, analytical and comfortable challenging assumptions constructively

Please note: This is a full-time, permanent position. The role is expected to be office-based in our Stamford office, however, we have a flexible working policy which enables you to work up to 2 days from home.
