Role Purpose:
We are seeking a Senior Accountant - Financial Controls to support the financial management and control environment of its U.S. pre-launch banking organization. The role will assist with financial reporting, month-end close, financial controls, statutory reporting, audit support, regulatory reporting activities, and the build-out of the treasury function. In addition, this position will help establish and enhance finance and treasury processes, controls, and infrastructure to support a de novo banking institution.

- Prepare management accounts, financial statements, and supporting financial analysis for review.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and help ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
- Support external audits, statutory reporting, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Maintain internal controls and accounting policies in compliance with US GAAP, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Partner with Treasury, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and business stakeholders to improve reporting and operational effectiveness.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of finance and treasury processes, controls, and procedures to support a de novo banking organization.
- Assist with finance systems implementation, process automation, and reporting infrastructure.
- Support new product launches, business growth initiatives, and regulatory readiness efforts.
- Contribute to the build-out of scalable, best-in-class finance and treasury functions.
What We're Looking For

Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred.
- 5+ years of accounting, financial reporting, or financial controls experience.
- Banking, financial services, or other regulated industry experience.
- Solid knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience preparing financial statements and supporting audits.
- Strong Excel skills and analytical capabilities.
- Experience building or enhancing finance processes within a growing organization preferred.

- This position is full-time permanent, operating on a hybrid working model from our office in Stamford.
- This role offers a salary range of $125,000-140,000 per annum + bonus scheme and a comprehensive benefits package
