Product Manager - Spendscape Inc. (a Moneris Company)
Purpose of this role:
The Product Manager oversees all elements of product management of data solutions, for the purpose of developing, commercializing and managing products that capitalize on Spendscape Inc. data to drive value to merchants. The Product Management Team’s charter is to envision, curate, and build a marketing attribution / other business platforms.
This role will collaborate with various groups across Spendscape and Moneris to build accurate and effective data analytics products. The incumbent will be a creator and leader of external analytics and data products to support commercialization of data.
Key accountabilities include:
Execute on the vision and strategy for data & analytics products.
Work cross functionally with user research and design, data science and engineering to understand clients’ needs, behaviors & problems, define requirements, design solutions and execution.
Ship impactful product features on time and in scope through solid execution and making smart tradeoffs in a highly cross-functional environment
Ensure successful product launches with go-to-market activities and post-launch analysis to inform future product direction
Work closely with customer stakeholders, project manager, data scientists, and other stakeholders in an agile environment.
Identify the product’s defining features/specifications and manage the product backlog (epics, features, and user stories).
In collaboration with Technology, works with third-party companies/vendors to assess partnership opportunities, and managing such relationships as required
In collaboration with Sales and Technology, evaluates requests for customization from clients for inclusion in standard product releases
Identifies key success and performance metrics of product offerings within assigned products, and adjusting as required to achieve targets
Maintaining visibility over project scope, schedules, and cost implications associated with new products, solutions or releases.
Responsibility for gathering and assessing post launch feedback for ongoing product evolution as part of post process.

Ensures all regulatory and compliance requirements are prioritized within the roadmap to meet required timelines
MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS
University degree in Business/ Commerce or a related field is strongly preferred.
MBA or equivalent post grad professional qualification is an asset
5+ years as a product manager to drive best-in-class enterprise experiences, including data driven features and products
Experienced with user needs discovery and design sprints, especially with enterprise customers
Experienced at new product introduction / go to market activities
Proven creativity and problem-solving skills; ability to work around obstacles and solve problems with minimal direction
Strong technical understanding preferably in the software development product life cycle
Experience as a product manager or architect for an analytics or business intelligence platform.
Experience with developing data-driven products or solutions, including dashboard and reporting tools that address specific customer needs and requirements.
Ability to effectively analyze data or situations, access information from various systems, research, and draw relevant conclusions.
Knowledge of the payment business, processes and systems is an asset.
Technical knowledge of data concepts and structures, including integration of various data sets.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to evangelize the use of data for sound decision making across functions
Agile mindset and a product owner.
Understanding of programming languages, APIs, technical architecture considered an asset
Fluent in English (reading, writing, and verbal), Bilingualism is considered an asset.
Exceptional business acumen skills and understanding of product offerings to define requirements, design solutions and execution.
