Senior Engineer - O365/Azure, End User Services

This role is providing technical expertise, administration and support of Microsoft 365 and Azure services. In this role you will drive best practices for the enterprise and be responsible for the governance, management, administration of the Azure MFA, Azure SSO, Conditional Access, Office365 tenant, including Exchange Online, Security, Compliance Center.


You will be accountable for:

  • Ensuring the operational health of the environment including security, availability, maintenance, troubleshooting/resolution, performance, interoperability and reliability Administration, support and configuration of O365 tenant environment.
  • Participate in large, complex projects with business and technology teams to deliver solutions aligned to changing business needs and strategies while considering existing End User experience requirements.
  • Deliver subject matter expertise of Office 365 with emphasis in services, security, architectural design, migration, management and support of implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory, Azure Information Protection, Information Rights Management, single sign-on and multi-factor authentication and related technologies.
  • Demonstrate consultative capabilities by providing value added information to clients for connecting technology, security and the business value of Office 365.
  • Accountable and responsible to lead technical vision and discussions and provide recommendation on areas of service improvement and feasibility of technical solutions to ensure business requirements are aligned to solution scope and vision.
  • Design and implement Microsoft security solutions with our Information security team, identity hygiene and how they relate to O365.
  • Accountable for end-to-end delivery of technical solutions by defining and meeting deliverables including planning and design for deployments, ensures quality of solution testing and pilot activities are aligned with best practices.  
  • Develop and maintain technology roadmaps to ensure solutions remain leading edge in terms of functionality, security, performance and availability.
  • Support and operationalize technology standards, processes and policies related to service offerings and ownership.
  • Maintains good working knowledge of business applications, current infrastructure and future trends.


Your experience includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related discipline; or 10+ years equivalent IT work experience; Master’s degree considered an asset
  • Minimum 7 years' experience working in a senior technical role in design, build, automation, administration and monitoring O365 tenant and Azure services.
  • High proficiency of Microsoft 365 products Exchange server, Exchange Online, EMS, Security, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Advanced Threat Protection, Data Loss Prevention.
  • High proficiency in Active Directory, Azure Active Directory (AAD), Azure MFA and SSO Apps, AD synchronization (AAD Connect), Azure AD SSPR and Conditional Access
  • High proficiency with scripting (PowerShell)
  • Certification Preferred – Azure/O365 Fundamentals or equivalent
  • Experience with Solution design and O365 Governance
  • Highly proficient verbal and written communication skills and ability to promote and deliver technical ideas and solutions with all levels in the organization
  • Ability to inspire others and demonstrates passion
  • Ability to lead, mentor, deal with conflict resolution
