Monarch Investment and Management Group is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Preston Oaks Apartments in Louisville, KY. We offer $20.00–$25.00 per hour, quarterly maintenance bonuses of up to $750, full benefits, tool reimbursement, paid time off, and ongoing training and advancement opportunities.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Complete maintenance work orders in a timely manner based on priority
  • Perform apartment make-ready/turn work between residents
  • Perform interior and exterior painting and staining
  • Complete general carpentry, drywall, and exterior maintenance as needed
  • Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and water heaters
  • Maintain the property's buildings, grounds, and common areas as needed
  • Participate in a 24/7 emergency on-call rotation approximately every 3–4 weeks
  • Provide professional, courteous service to residents and respond to maintenance requests promptly
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in general property maintenance preferred
  • Experience with drywall, painting, and basic carpentry
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems and water heaters
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong customer service skills and a professional attitude
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
