Apartment Maintenance Rover – Full-Time (Alexandria/Lafayette)

$21–$24/hr | 40 hrs/week | Travel Perks + Housing Provided

As a Maintenance Rover, you’ll work across multiple apartment communities, handling repairs, upkeep, and make-readies. You’ll be trusted to work independently, solve problems on the spot, and keep our properties looking sharp and running smoothly.

Pay & Perks:

  • $21–$24/hour based on experience
  • $50/day per diem when traveling outside Alexandria
  • Housing provided during 2-week stays in Lafayette (monthly)
  • Full-time hours (40/week)
  • On-call availability required (when needed)

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Painting, staining, and turning units between tenants
  • Handling work orders and repairs (drywall, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances)
  • Cleaning gutters, stairwells, entryways, and exterior spaces
  • Power washing buildings and assisting with siding, soffit, and window repairs
  • Supporting roof and parking lot repairs under skilled guidance
  • Changing HVAC filters, smoke detector batteries, and maintaining boilers/water heaters
  • Pool upkeep
  • Landscaping and general grounds maintenance
  • Using Microsoft Office to manage work orders and inventory
  • Traveling between sites as needed (2 weeks in Lafayette each month)—company vehicle not provided
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

What You Need:

  • 1+ years’ maintenance experience (apartment experience a plus)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Background check and drug screen required
  • Own tools and ability to work in all weather
  • Comfortable climbing ladders (up to 32’)
  • Able to work solo and lead small teams when needed
  • Basic computer skills for scheduling and supply orders
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • General understanding of: Dry walling, painting, carpentry, plumbing, low voltage electrical, HVAC, water heaters, and appliance repair
  • Some experience in managing or executing capital projects
