Monarch Investment and Management Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our National Traveling Maintenance Crew. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem solving, and traveling to help improve apartment communities across the country.
Our traveling crew is dispatched to properties that need extra support. You will work alongside a skilled team to complete repairs, turn units, and help bring communities back to top condition.
Travel Schedule
This is a travel-based position with the following rotation:
- 3 weeks traveling out of state
- 1 week off at home
You may be assigned to properties across our portfolio of 79,000+ apartment units in 25 states.

Pay
- $20 – $23 per hour
- 50-hour work weeks (consistent overtime available)
- $50 daily per diem while traveling
- Annual raises up to 5%

Key Responsibilities
- Complete maintenance work orders based on priority
- Perform unit turns / make-ready preparation between residents
- Interior and exterior painting and staining
- General maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and drywall
- Assist with capital projects, renovations, and major repairs
- Support property teams with maintenance needs
- Complete special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- 1+ year of general maintenance experience
- Experience with drywall repair, painting, and carpentry
- Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems
- Some experience with HVAC systems and water heaters
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to providing excellent service to residents
Applicants may be asked to demonstrate basic maintenance skills during the interview process.

- Ability to travel for extended periods (3 weeks at a time)
- Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screening
