As a Rover Technician, you’ll work across multiple communities, supporting teams, tackling larger projects, and stepping in where your expertise is needed most. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, independence, and problem-solving and wants to grow into a more advanced maintenance or leadership role, mentoring less experienced technicians.
 
What You’ll Do
  • Complete service requests and work orders across multiple properties
  • Lead and assist with unit turns, rehab projects, and capital improvements
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances
  • Support preventive maintenance programs and property inspections
  • Partner with Regional and Property Managers on maintenance budgets and planning
  • Manage vendors and assist with project bidding and execution
  • Assist in maintaining organized shops, tools, and inventory across sites
  • Participate in on-call rotation and emergency maintenance coverage as needed
What You Bring
  • 3+ years maintenance experience (multifamily preferred)
  • Experience with unit turns, service requests, and general maintenance
  • Working knowledge of:
    • HVAC systems
    • Plumbing (including copper pipe work)
    • Electrical (outlets, switches, fixtures)
    • Appliances and water heaters (gas & electric)
    • Drywall, painting, and basic carpentry
  • Ability to work independently across multiple locations
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to lead projects and support team members when needed
  • EPA Card Required
  • CPO preferred, will help certify if you have pool experience
  • HVAC Certificate preferred
Compensation & Benefits
  • $29.00 – $33.00 /hour (based on experience)
  • Up to $1,000 quarterly bonus potential 
  • Employees are eligible for 20% off rent at any Monarch community, terms and conditions apply
  • On-call bonus when coverage needed but this role is not on regular rotation
