The Business Systems Administrator I is responsible for reports and the systems that depend on them to operate (both for stores and Central Store Support (CSS)). This position is located in-office 4 days a week (with 1 day remote) at our Central Store Support office (Rockville, MD).
- Responsible for the administration of an organization's ERP systems (Enterprise Resource Planning software solutions) to facilitate reliable performance, integrity, and security.
- Monitors ERP security and manages user access and permissions.
- Processes, validates, and maintains ERP data to ensure accurate system records.
- Assists and supports the planning, testing, and deployment of new ERP modules, upgrades, and patches.
- Documents ERP system processes and may facilitate end-user training to promote effective use and best practices.
- Maintain software related to ERP/inventory management and scales including running software upgrades, communicating with third parties to resolve system issues and research/attend relevant training sessions.
- Maintains, generates, analyzes, and provides accurate reporting to stores and CSS on an ad hoc, scheduled and ongoing frequency. Generates reports in D365, Tableau and in our back-end POS system (Catapult).
- Create and/or maintain tools that improve productivity.
- Create and/or maintain user documentation MOM’s business application/tools, inventory management, POS and scale utilization.
- Tracks and manages, documents, troubleshoots, and fixes or resolves Store and CSS team members requests including issues or bugs as entered in Zendesk tickets.
- Perform and execute assigned tasks within Catapult, D365 and/or the ERP/inventory management systems.
- Provide technical assistance/advice for the software related to inventory management, POS, scales and other back office systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Must Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years' experience as a Business System Analyst/Administrator
- Experience developing and testing complex reports & analyzing/presenting data to your customers
- Intermediate level math skills (algebra to precalculus, statistics)
- Advanced understanding, programming and documentation skills within any of the following languages: Javascript, Shell scripting, HTML, CSS and SQL (Sybase, mySQL, BigQuery, Python, and Bash)
- Experience with visualizations (building charts and graphs with effective storytelling)
- Advanced understanding of databases; structure, table & data layout, optimization, limitations, etc.
- Advanced proficiency with Google Suite & Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail, especially with communication (written and verbal) and meeting deadlines
- Ability to prioritize tasks that change frequently and manage unexpected demands
- Dependable, follows instructions and takes initiative to solve problems
- Experience in a fast-paced work environment
- Interest in company culture and desire to grow in the field
Nice to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years' experience in field or career
- Intermediate understanding of databases
- Data Cleaning or Data Analytics certification
The salary range for this position is $58-$68k.
