The Merchandising Analyst II is responsible for independently reviewing and processing merchandise invoices with high level of accuracy and verify that they have been properly coded and entered into the A/P system for payment. In addition, this position will collaborate with different departments on projects and process improvements. This position is located in-office 4 days a week (with 1 day remote) at our Central Store Support office (Rockville, MD).

  1. Meet invoice quantity processing minimum quota with less than 5% error rate.
  2. Review, process, and file merchandising invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and proper coding.
  3. Follow up with vendors, store managers, and other employees to resolve open issues and discrepancies for statement reconciliation.
  4. Apply cash and check payments within the proper deadlines.
  5. Oversee accounts payable help desk inquiries within set timelines.
  6. Creative problem-solving to keep daily workflows on track.
  7. Partner with the Merchandising Manager to identify and implement process improvements.
  8. Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders. 
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required:

  • Associate's or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years' related experience
  • Previous retail/merchandise experience
  • Proficiency with automated A/P systems and Excel
  • Experience with Google Suite & Microsoft Office
  • Excellent attention to detail, especially with communication (written and verbal) and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize tasks that change frequently and manage unexpected demands
  • Dependable, follows instructions and takes initiative to solve problems
  • Interest in company culture and desire to grow in the field
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment

Nice-to-Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • 5+ years' experience in field or career
  • Experience with Medius and Microsoft Dynamics 365
The salary range for this position is $22 - $25/hr.
