IT Inventory & Shipping Specialist

Description:

The Inventory & Shipping Specialist is an integral part of the IT organization, responsible for managing the inventory of Mobiquity's technology assets, and coordinating the shipping and retrieval of those assets around the globe. With a large remote workforce and offices spanning the world, Mobiquity’s assets are always on the move, assuring that our workforce has the laptops, mobile devices, and other technology assets they need to develop software products and run the business. 

Responsibilities:

Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels of common items, and track asset whereabouts across multiple offices and remote locations
  • Order additional components, track orders, and document the receipt of products
  • Prepare devices for use, by following standard procedures

Shipping Coordination

  • Ship equipment from Mobiquity to our employees, including:
    • gather the necessary information needed for delivery
    • properly package and label equipment for shipment
    • capture tracking information, and monitor shipments until successful delivery
  • Coordinate retrieval of equipment from employees back to a Mobiquity office, including:
    • supply the employee with proper packaging materials
    • instruct the employee on proper packaging, labeling, and shipping details
    • capture tracking information, and monitor shipments until successful delivery
  • Work with shipping vendors to resolve lost packages and other shipping issues

Administrative Duties

  • Create and update documentation related to work responsibilities and activities
  • Maintain physical security of work area due to value of items being handled
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements

  • Ability to build relationships and trust with internal and external customers
  • Ability to work in a supportive but fast-paced environment, with the flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Comfortable working with computer and mobile phone applications
  • Some knowledge of Excel worksheets
  • Ability to learn order systems, shipping software, and help desk ticket software/processes

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent; Associates’ degree preferred
Prior experience in shipping or logistics role


Working Conditions:
Typical office environment.
Standard business hours, onsite at Mobiquity office.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, bend, stretch, lift/carry up to 15 lbs.
