About This Role

The Senior Interior Designer serves as a leader on the Interior Design team at MN Custom Homes. You will be responsible for specifying new designs for the company as well as providing design expertise and guidance to custom and presale homebuyers looking to tailor their new homes. In addition, you will be a key mentor for junior and mid-level members of the Interior Design team.  This role will partner closely with the Director of Interior Design to leverage expertise and knowledge of latest trends to create design collections and packages.  Come join us in creating beautiful, quality, luxury homes!

 

On a Given Day, Your Work Might Include

  • Leading clients through the interior design process as a trusted point of contact.
  • Work with custom and presale buyers to design packages that fit their tastes or needs.
  • Researching current industry changes and staying up-to-date on latest design trends.
  • Collaborating with Project Managers to deliver design solutions.
  • Visiting job sites to assess ongoing design projects.
  • Mentoring junior and mid-level roles on the team.


What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 7+ years of residential and interior design experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship building skills.
  • Experienced in negotiation methods and implementing best practices with vendors and customers.
  • Ability to effectively organize and execute simultaneous demands.
  • Enthusiasm for working within a collaborative team environment.
  • Aptitude for learning and retaining information quickly while understanding general upstream/downstream implications.
  • Flexibility in taking on new projects and partnering cross functionally with others when needed.
  • Proficiency with Sketchup or AutoCAD, Salesforce, and Bluebeam preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite abilities.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required to be furnished upon hire absent an approved accommodation.


Travel & Vehicle Requirements     
   
 

  • Some travel between job sites within a 5-mile radius of Bellevue and Kirkland is required.
  • Valid WA State Driver’s License.
  • Acceptable driving record and proof of vehicle insurance.

Hours & Compensation
 

This is a full-time position paying $82,573 - $115,500. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Individual placement within a salary range will vary based upon factors including but not limited to candidate experience, knowledge, individual, skills, and organizational performance.
