About This Role

The Architectural Project & Permit Manager will be responsible for project work plans, managing the project delivery process, and delivering approved permits for the Architecture team here at MN Custom Homes. You will create and manage work plans, establish, and manage project teams, as well as oversee project quality assurance. Additionally, you will pro-actively direct the permit review process for successful approvals. On a Given Day, Your Work Might Include

  • Select and manage consultant teams to achieve project goals within budget and schedule.
  • Set project schedule and milestones according to designated project delivery pathways.
  • Maintain and update project schedules as well as task completions for current project state.
  • Ensure jurisdictional requirements for submittals and reviews are met completely.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with jurisdictional review staff.
  • Track and manage permit review corrections and responses.
  • Compile, communicate, track, and manage resolution of all QA issues.
  • Support project communication and coordination with company partners in real estate, procurement, construction, and interior design.


What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or a related discipline strongly preferred.
  • 4-5+ years of experience in residential project design, permitting, and construction.
  • Thorough knowledge of permit requirements, submittals, land-use, and residential codes required.
  • Proven experience pro-actively managing multiple projects at different stages of design, documentation, permitting, and construction simultaneously while maintaining strong project organization.
  • Ability to review and accurately interpret engineering, architectural, and other construction-related technical drawings.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and online permit tracking sites such as mybuildingpermit.com.
  • Preferred experience with Autodesk Revit, Construction Cloud, and Taskray.
  • Portfolio of past work will be required.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required to be furnished upon hire absent an approved accommodation.

Hours & Compensation
 

This is a full-time position paying $92,500 – $138,500. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Individual placement within a salary range will vary based upon factors including but not limited to candidate experience, knowledge, individual skills, and organizational performance.
