About This Role

The Preconstruction Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing all preconstruction site activities that start from key handover during our land acquisition phase, all the way through demolition and then handoff to the construction teams to begin new construction. This role will balance both fieldwork and in-office administrative tasks.


On a Given Day, Your Work Might Include
       

  • Planning, coordinating, organizing, overseeing, and directing preconstruction activities of assigned structures. This may include successful execution of:
  • Initial site visit checklist
  • Scheduling and tracking locate requests
  • Site verifications of power gas disconnects
  • Managing demolition contractors including all related onsite tasks
  • Safety posting delivery and installation
  • Jurisdictional inspection scheduling and follow through
  • Subcontractor and labor scheduling for demolition activities
  • Managing demolition process in municipalities with two stage permits and pre-demolition process in single permit municipalities
  • Various other preconstruction coordination duties 


What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, high school diploma required
  • 1-3 years’ experience in similar role
  • Previous experience in single-family construction preferred
  • Ability to be a continuous learner and problem solver
  • Willingness to be a proactive partner in a collaborative team environment 
  • Comfort and flexibility in taking on new tasks or projects, and lending a hand in and outside your immediate team
  • Ability to (re)prioritize and multitask effectively, picking up where you left off without missing a beat 
  • Ability to learn and retain information quickly, and understand general upstream/downstream implications
  • Customer first mindset and drive to continuously improve the customer experience
  • Strong MS Office Suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams)
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required to be furnished upon hire absent an approved accommodation

Hours & Compensation
 

This is a full-time position paying $29.17/hr – $40.84/hr. The hourly range represents the anticipated low and high end of the hourly range for this position. Individual placement within a hourly range will vary based upon factors including but not limited to candidate experience, knowledge, individual, skills, and organizational performance.
