About This Role
The Manager of Finance is responsible for the financial management of the company, including the preparation of financial statements, budget management, and cash flow forecasting. This role proactively contributes to a data-driven organization by identifying relevant data, building models, metrics and frameworks that transform raw and complex data sets into meaningful insights and recommendations for leadership.
On a Given Day, Your Work Might Include
- Transforms new and existing data into actionable recommendations to guide, inform, and inspire tactical actions and long-term planning.
- Develops, owns, standardizes and manages the monthly financial reporting package and dashboard. Provides information that monitors business unit key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Drives annual operating plans, quarterly and monthly forecasts, provide ongoing analysis of actuals versus plan and/or forecast as well as the underlying models.
- Provides insightful analysis (financial and other) and builds out visualizations (e.g., Tableau, Salesforce, PowerBI) that monitor and support company-wide strategic and operational initiatives. Identifies data and trends to support and drive business decisions.
- Collaborate with senior management and other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives. Provides recommendations based on results for strategic decision making.
- Develops data analytics and visualization systems and contributes to operational improvement opportunities (enhancing current forecasting models, building new model templates, etc.).
- Models and reinforces actions and behaviors consistent with the Company's values, mission and culture.
- Partners with and builds strong relationships with team members across the organization at all levels; supports cross-functionally with problem solving and analysis for department leaders to effectively run their functions and promote the goals of the organization.
- Designs (scope and outcomes) and delivers on ad-hoc strategic projects.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of financial analyst work, to include interacting with and providing recommendations to executives.
- Finance experience within the residential construction industry or a related field is preferred.
- Exceptional analytic skills, ability to build financial models for business forecasting, building automated reports and dashboards ad-hoc analysis, and problem solving
- Comfortable working in and bringing structure to ambiguous projects.
- Strong team player with service-oriented attitude and customer focus.
- Intellectual curiosity and complete professional ownership
- Demonstrated ability to seek out continuous improvement and development opportunities through a growth mindset.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Demonstrated advanced Excel and VBA skills/abilities.
- Adept at integrating disparate information, correlating data, and understanding data trends.
- Advanced proficiency with Tableau or equivalent data visualization software a plus.
- Experience with Python / R, SQL is a plus.
- Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- This position requires frequent use of a computer, including keyboard functions, and visual acuity of 20 inches or fewer on a daily basis.
- Frequent sitting (up to 8 hours a day in total). Occasional standing and walking.
Travel & Vehicle Requirements
- Less than 5% travel is expected, which could include to other markets, conferences, etc.

Hours & Compensation
This is a full-time position paying $109,850 – $164,761 + discretionary bonuses. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Individual placement within a salary range will vary based upon factors including but not limited to candidate experience, knowledge, individual, skills, and organizational performance.
