About This Role 
As a Business Development Representative, you’ll be a key contributor to the success of our growing Land Acquisition team.  In this role, you’ll drive revenue-generating sales activities, master industry knowledge and best practices as well as collaborate in managing and executing the feasibility process. On a Given Day, Your Work Might Include 
  • Conduct revenue-generating sales activities with potential home sellers through phone calls, in-person meetings, and email communications.
  • Engage potential clients through targeted outreach, including cold calls, emails, reengagement efforts, and strategic marketing campaigns.
  • Qualify potential clients and set presentation appointments for Land Acquisition Officers.
  • Collaborate closely with Land Acquisition Officers to gain insights into deal structures, industry best practices, and effective opportunity management.
  • Review all purchase and sales agreements to ensure accuracy of deal structure, legal compliance, and overall purpose.
  • Manage the sales pipeline and lead generation activities within Salesforce.
  • Partner with the sales team and engage with customers to generate referrals.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with both potential and existing clients.
  • Propose effective solutions to optimize processes and strategies.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
  • Models and reinforces actions and behaviors consistent with MN Custom Homes’ values, mission, and culture.
Physical Requirements:
  • This position requires frequent use of a computer, including keyboard functions and visual acuity of 20 inches or fewer on a daily basis
  • Frequent sitting (up to 8 hours a day in total)
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds on occasion with or without accommodation
Travel & Vehicle Requirements:
  • Regular travel between prospective job sites and the office is required
  • Valid WA State Driver’s License
What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, construction management, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales and/or customer service-related roles.
  • Knowledge of or experience in residential construction is preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
  • Strong collaboration skills with an enthusiasm for supporting and assisting team members.
  • Highly motivated and passionate about engaging directly with prospects and customers, both in-person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Experienced in prioritizing tasks effectively in response to shifting priorities and competing demands.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, taking initiative and managing tasks independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • General knowledge of neighborhoods in core Eastside locations, specifically Bellevue and Kirkland.
  • Familiarity with real estate and market trends within the King County metro area.

Hours & Compensation   
This is a full-time position paying $27.01/hr – $37.82/hr + commissions. The hourly range represents the anticipated low and high end of the hourly range for this position. Individual placement within a salary range will vary based upon factors including but not limited to candidate experience, knowledge, individual skills, and organizational performance.
