About This Role

The Project Architect is responsible for designing single-family projects from beginning stages of design approval through permit submittal. Day to day, this role will create new luxury home designs, work with local jurisdictions on permitting, and research new market designs.  Big picture, you will create and execute our home designs, expedite permitting, and ensure home completion. The Project Architect will partner with the Architecture team and the Director of Production Architecture to help build out the scalability of key functions and participate in exciting initiatives we're bringing to MN!       

 

On a Given Day, Your Work Might Include

  • Leading and performing the creation of BIM models and Permit Submittal Drawings for single-family residential projects
  • Resolving technical and design challenges during the production process
  • Ensuring quality and completeness standards
  • Coordinating other team members and consultants
  • Completing permit submittal documents in compliance with local codes and review standards
  • Staying informed and up to date on best practices in residential design, documentation, and construction
  • Identifying opportunities and drives continuous improvement related to technical architecture and design documentation
  • Partnering with the Architecture team to establish and maintain standards and procedures

 

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Professional degree in Architecture or equivalent
  • Professional Registered Architect (RA) preferred
  • 4+ years’ post-graduate experience in a technical architecture role producing design deliverable documentation for permit submittal required
  • 4+ years’ experience with wood-frame residential architecture preferred
  • Experience with construction administration or general contracting in a technical architectural capacity considered
  • Technical expertise in single-family residential architecture
  • Knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures
  • Proficient with Autodesk Revit and Bluebeam
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Hours & Compensation  

This is a full-time position paying $90,000 – $130,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Individual placement within a salary range will vary based upon factors including but not limited to candidate experience, knowledge, individual, skills, and organizational performance.
