The position will initially be remote and will be located in Silicon Valley once the  
pandemic situation settles down.  

People Manager  

Key Responsibilities  

Well-being of Employees  

Create programs focused on employee recognition and dedication  
Lead employee surveys, analyze results and recommend action to exec team  
Address and mediate routine staff issues and conflicts and advise management of  appropriate resolution for employee issues  
Revise personnel handbook, policies and procedures  
Manage company wide “Benefits at a Glance”  
Oversee and maintain employee programs including management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety and sexual  harassment  
Ensure compliance with worldwide labor laws or regulations  

Employee Programs  

Establish programs designed to reinforce Mixbook culture and core values and improve performance, retention and employee experience  
Engage with Mixbook managers to define employee roles and define success for each role  
● Drive employee development programs for employees to develop, contribute and thrive under their manager’s leadership  
Assist with job descriptions for new positions as needed  
Conduct new employee orientations and employee relations counseling, fostering alignment with Mixbook’s core values and goals  
Oversee exit interviews and summarize feedback for the executive team  
Maintain all personnel and department records and reports  
Maintain company organizational charts  
Develop and maintain relationships with HR professionals outside of the Company to  stay current on market knowledge by participating in relevant conferences, workshops and trainings  

Ambassador for company culture and core values  

Initiate and coordinate activities which enhance the organizational culture of the  company including corporate events, holiday parties, periodic team-building events  and company gifts for employees  
Bring the voice of the employees to the table  

Our requirements  

● Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business or related field  
● 5 to 10 years of general Human Resources experience  
● Has a strong attention to detail and execution oriented  
● Exceptional written and verbal communication skills  
● Empathetic and demonstrates exceptional listening skills  
● Self-confident, with a bias toward action, proactive problem-solving, and follow through  
● Excellent organizational and project management skills  
● Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment  
● Highly collaborative style with demonstrated ability to work in teams, as both a lead  and as a supporting team member  
● Takes initiative and goes above and beyond  
Caring attitude toward work & other employees.
