Description

Mitsubishi Motors is looking for a Techline Specialist to join their Aftersales Service team. As the Aftersales Service Techline Specialist you will provide technical assistance to dealership technicians and MMNA field staff to repair customer vehicles and provide feedback to Platform Specialist on emerging issues, with the primary objective of improving responsiveness to the customer, vehicle quality and IQS.

A representation of the responsibilities are outlined below: 

  • Answer Vehicle Tech Line and aid dealership and field staff to facilitate/assist in vehicle repairs. If necessary, escalate calls to either Specialist II or Team Lead
  • Provide complete and accurate documentation of all calls and follow through as appropriate which may include recording and reporting vehicle conditions, repairs, deficiencies, and trends
  • Provide feedback to the team on emerging technical trends and quality issues
  • Provide feedback to the team on dealer and field issues that need to be addressed to improve dealership ability to fix vehicles right the first time
  • In conjunction with Product Support Manager, determine training needs and attend appropriate training
  • Assist in development and validation of TSB’s and Tech talk articles
  • Meet stated deadlines while delivering quality results
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required

Location of Position:
This position is located in Franklin, Tennessee (the greater Nashville area) and the successful candidate must be located in TN. While this role will require some presence in the office, it will be a hybrid role with the ability to work from home on an average of 3/4 days per week.


Position Requirements and “Nice to Haves”:

  • 4-7 years’ experience in positions such as automotive technical instructor, dealer technician, dealer service manager, etc.
  • AA/AS degree in automotive technology or related technical area, or equivalent combination of education and experience; BA/BS degree in automotive technology preferred
  • ASE Master Technician Certification; L1 (Advanced Performance) Certification
  • Prior experience as an Automotive Instructor, Field Service Engineer, or equivalent automotive related position
  • Advanced knowledge of Mitsubishi Motors specific automotive technology preferred
  • Work hours may be adjusted to accommodate time zone requirements
  • Must maintain a valid unconditional driver’s license and approved driving record
