Summary of the Role: 
Mitsubishi Motors is seeking a Platform Specialist to join our Product Support team. As a Platform Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing technical assistance to dealership technicians and MMNA field staff, ensuring efficient repair of customer vehicles, investigating emerging issues, and contributing to overall vehicle quality enhancement.
 
Position Location: 
The role is based in Franklin, TN, with reporting responsibilities to MMNA’s Franklin Headquarters. The ideal candidate should reside in or be willing to relocate to the Franklin/Nashville area of Tennessee. Please note that we are unable to make exceptions regarding the requirement to live and work in Tennessee.

Responsibilities:  

  • Answer Vehicle Techline overflow calls and provide assistance to dealership and field staff to facilitate/assist in vehicle repairs.
  • Provide support and coaching to the team.
  • Track and follow-up on all Techline Level II calls to ensure complete and competent repair and to understand and bring to closure issues that remain open.
  • Provide support for prototype and pre-production vehicles as required.
  • Aid dealer and field staff for technical support.
  • Investigate emerging issues. Provide preliminary analysis to Product Support Manager. 
  • Prepare detailed written reports and digital photographs.
  • In conjunction with Team Lead and Manager, determine training needs and attend appropriate training.
  • Travel as necessary to assist MMC engineering staff in the investigation of field product complaints, investigate emerging issues, and provide port modification training and technical assistance to the VPCs.
  • Full support of KTI issues including timely/accurate reporting that includes data to database and manager support.
  •  Duplicate product quality conditions and report to Team Lead.
  • Calmly respond in highly stressful business conditions and effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Meet stated deadlines while delivering quality results.
  • Hybrid work setup: Required in-office presence for the first 90 days, followed by mostly remote work with designated office days as determined by management.
  • Maintain regular full-time attendance of 8 hours daily and 40 hours weekly.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Required Qualifications: 

  • 4 +  years of “hands-on” vehicle analytical/technical experience in positions such as:  Automotive Training Instructor, Automotive Repair Technician, etc.
  • ASE Master Technician Certification.
  • Advanced Mitsubishi Motors product knowledge.
  • Moderate knowledge of MMNA standard or equivalent PC software.
  • May require 15-25% travel (both domestic and international).
  • Must maintain a valid unconditional driver’s license and MMNA approved driving record.

The base salary for this position ranges between $65,000 to $75,000. The base salary will be based on a number of factors including the role offered, the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
