Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications.  With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits’ products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.

Mini-Circuits’ sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.

Position Summary:

The Manager of Manufacturing Operations manages the FL Manufacturing Division of the company, ensuring effective and efficient use of facilities and staff. Responsible for the cohesive structuring, and operation of manufacturing activities to ensure daily work is performed in accordance with all applicable procedures. This position is a collaborative and hands-on leader who is responsible for maintaining and increasing the efficiency of a business while executing strategic projects that support the goals of North American Operations and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
 
Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000 per year

Job Function:
  • Organize departmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations.
  • Oversee the manufacturing of products, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Provide technical vision and direction to ensure the production supervisors are aligned with the strategy of the company.
  • Review production reports to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met. 
  • Monitor production stations to determine backlog and manpower requirements and coordinates with each of the department supervisor or team lead for a resolution.
  • Identify production floor process problems and take lead to report and resolve obstacles in collaboration with department managers.
  • Point of escalation for any production floor issues that have not or cannot be resolved by primary supervisors. Escalate to Senior Leadership or Human Resources as necessary.
  • Review and update procedures in all production departments to help increase productivity on the production floor.
  • Initiate software program change request to improve job efficiency, and work with AS400 team and software engineering team to implement the improvement plan.
  • Participate in ECO/NPO review meetings from a manufacturability standpoint.
  • Recommend setting up production lines as required in coordination with other depts (i.e., MPE)
  • Participate in management review meetings.
  • Ensure company procedures and policies are followed and enforced.
  • Provide guidance to team members to help ensure project deadlines are achieved.
  • Ensure a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations, through collaboration with environmental, health, and safety staff. 
  • Identify manpower staffing and any special facility or other requirements for department or project. 
  • Promote ISO 9000, AS9100, and ISO 14001 awareness among members.
  • Conduct facility tours.
  • Any other job-related task as assigned by upper management.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Assists the Vice President of North American Operations and the Continuous Improvement Manager in crafting the strategy for the business including the technical direction for the company.
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities.
  • Define objectives and track results for FL Supervisors.
  • Review and approve equipment purchase, maintenance, and layout. 
  • Develop and manage departmental budget.
  • Determine the staffing needs.
  • Authorize overtime for production members in coordination with production supervisors.
  • Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. 
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy. 
  • Organize and lead the work of the team (s) by delegating assignments, provide guidance to achieve projects objectives in accordance with established timelines and policies.
  • Prepare and present project(s) status to Senior Management including project deliverables such as performance, scheduling, budgeting, and costs.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Management, or related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in a manufacturing management role with demonstrated ability to oversee multiple lines of production and significant span of control.
  • Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, strong in building relationships, team player, dynamic, creative with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Demonstrated team building and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and develop flow charts.
  • Excellent organizational and managerial skills. 
  • Thorough understanding of the policies and practices used in the manufacturing division. 
  • Ability to set long-term goals and communicate them to others. 
  • Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals.

  • Strong relationship management, strategy development, project management, problem solving and change management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to come up with creative solutions to any challenges the organization may be facing.
  • Manage diverse, simultaneous projects of varying complexities.
  • Business related computer skills including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
