Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits’ products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Mini-Circuits’ sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.    

Position Summary:

The Demand Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts by analyzing historical trends, market data, and cross-functional inputs from Sales and Marketing. This role focuses on identifying demand patterns, monitoring forecast accuracy, and refining projections to optimize customer service levels and business planning.

Key responsibilities include managing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual demand reports to uncover risks and opportunities. The Demand Planner will proactively communicate forecast trends, demand shifts, and potential gaps during weekly S&OP meetings to ensure alignment with business objectives.

This position works cross-functionally to drive forecast accuracy and demand insights and reports directly to the Demand Planning Manager.
 
Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 per year
 
Job Function:

  • Demand Forecasting & Analysis 
    • Develop and maintain rolling 12-month demand forecasts using statistical models, market intelligence, and historical trends.
    • Analyze demand signals, customer orders, and market trends to refine forecast accuracy and align with business objectives.
    • Utilize advanced analytics and demand sensing techniques to improve responsiveness to market changes and customer demand patterns.
  • S&OP & Cross-Functional Collaboration 
    • Continuously monitor and communicate significant forecast deviations and inventory fluctuations to leadership within the S&OP framework.
    • Foster cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Operations, and Procurement to drive alignment on demand expectations and mitigate supply risks.
    • Partner with the sales team to integrate customer insights into demand forecasts, improving forecast accuracy and service levels.
  • Risk Mitigation & Process Optimization 
    • Support the Demand Planning Manager in developing risk mitigation and contingency plans to address demand volatility and supply chain disruptions.
    • Proactively collaborate with Supply Planning address demand constraints to minimize supply disruptions and optimize inventory levels.
    • Conduct quarterly reviews, in collaboration with Supply Planning, of MRP model configurations to ensure alignment with demand planning strategies and inventory policies.
    • Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance demand planning efficiency and forecast accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business management or related field
  • 4 years’ experience in forecasting and synthesizing data
  • Exceptional planning, time management and organizational skills are a must
  • Proficient in mathematics
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel with proficiency in MS Office and related Suite programs
  • Functional experience with one or more data visualization tools (i.e., Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Qlik, Sisense, etc.) strongly preferred
  • Experience in an MRP environment strongly preferred
  • APICS certification strongly preferred
