Continuous Improvement Manager
Description
Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures, and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. With design, sales, and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits’ products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement, and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance, and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea, and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.
Mini-Circuits sells our products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, and sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.
Position Summary:
The Continuous Improvement Manager will play a key role in driving operational excellence and maximizing efficiency within the organization. This position will collaborate with the VP of Operations to strategize and execute long-term initiatives, work closely with various teams and departments in multiple locations to identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance production output while minimizing costs. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills and demonstrate expertise in operational efficiencies, project management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Salary Range: $100,200 - $150,400 per year
Job Function:
- Partners with other leadership to set and assess priorities across teams – prepare and present recommendations to Sr. Leadership including the project deliverables, approach, cost, and potential roadblocks.
- Create timelines and objectives for project deliverables, keeping the projects focused and manageable for quality, on-time delivery for multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaborate with the VP of Operations to develop and execute long-term initiatives aimed at improving overall operational performance.
- Work closely with teams and departments to identify opportunities for maximizing production efficiency and reducing costs.
- Provide leadership in the implementation of Overall Asset Effectiveness.
- Oversee production activities at a high level, focusing on analysis and reporting on production outputs.
- Prioritize and direct process improvement projects and Capital Expenditure (CapEx) initiatives.
- Take responsibility for project management, including effective communication, implementation, cost/benefit analysis, and resource allocation.
- Manage and track multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting priorities as necessary to meet evolving business needs.
- Track team progress using Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics and deliver presentations to stakeholders.
- Provide training on project management methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
- Foster a problem-solving culture, encouraging employees to identify process issues and empowering them to implement solutions that drive high-value results and commitment to process improvement.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across all departments.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Determine necessary skill sets, define objectives, set expectations, and track productivity for members.
- Provide vision and direction to ensure the continuous improvement team and peers from other organizations are aligned with the strategy of the company.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, or similar field of study; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an operational improvement role.
- Experience in the electronics/RF industry desired.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- In-depth knowledge of statistical process control and problem-solving techniques.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Products.
- Must be very detail-oriented and thorough in performing tasks.
- Demonstrates high energy, professional confidence, and a strong ability to drive results.
- Must be a self-starter capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, demonstrating the capacity to identify and resolve issues independently.
- Must be able to demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic international team environment.
- Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team and communicate project status and issues clearly to all organizations.
- Ability to manage multiple project workloads and meet deadlines on time.
