Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits’ products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.
Mini-Circuits’ sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.
Position Summary:
The Senior Demand Planner will focus on forecasting demand and aggregating insights based on trends and patterns, using historical data and cross functional inputs from Sales and Marketing to maximize fulfillment rates that drive shipments.
The Senior Demand Planner will assist the Manager of Demand Planning in building and structuring weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to monitor performance and identify risks and opportunities.
In partnership with the Manager of Demand Planning, the Senior Demand Planner will communicate risks and opportunities during the monthly S&OP cycle to ensure stakeholders remain aligned.
This role will take the lead in supporting the Product Life Cycle process to ensure model rationalization in keeping the assortment relevant and profitable.
Salary Range: $99,000 - $115,000 per year
Job Function:
- Address demand related constraints in a timely manner.
- High level of competency to monitor/report significant changes in the forecasts and inventory estimations to manager and in an S&OP environment.
- Adhere to monthly forecasting cycle
- Review and analyze current demand and forecast data
- Collaborate with the NPI team and establish appropriate forecasts
- Initiates continuous and effective communication across all necessary departments to understand demands, trends and challenges.
- Works with the Demand Planning Manager to develop risk mitigation and contingency planning strategies.
- Identify areas of process improvement.
- Work towards improving model configuration to fine tune the forecast
- Perform other duties as necessary and as assigned
- Comfortable presenting to executive leadership and communicating insights clearly to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Materials Management, Supply Chain Management or related field
- 10 years’ experience in Demand Forecasting
- Exceptional planning, time management and organizational skills are a must
- Proficient in mathematics
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel with proficiency in MS Office and related Suite programs
- Functional experience with one or more data visualization tools (i.e., Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Qlik, Sisense, etc.) strongly preferred
- Experience in an MRP environment strongly preferred
- SAP experience preferred
- APICS certification strongly preferred
- Previous experience in a formal or informal leadership capacity
