Description
Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits’ products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea and aircraft, automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.
Mini-Circuits sells our products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive web site.
Salary range: $125K-$145K
Position Summary:
The Engineering Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing projects that span the five different product lines within the Diversified Business Unit (DBU). These are often complex situations that require a balance of business and engineering implications while maintaining quality and consistency of products within the product lines. This is largely leading without authority, driving progress to deadlines & digging deep into the cross functional details. This position is also to help with management/reporting of the DBU as a whole such as Quarterly Business presentation preparation, yearly DBU business strategy and other projects focused on improving DBU.
Job Function:
- Work independently and in conjunction with DBU product line managers, DBU Product management and with all associated departments involved in running the business unit..
- Work with the department managers of the various functional departments to assign resources to the project to successfully achieve the project objectives.
- Drive execution progress on projects to a successful completion of objectives.
- Accurately define the projects’ purpose, scope, and objectives, project deliverables, key milestones, and project resource requirements.
- Document the status of the work effort relative to the plan using various project tracking tools; partner with appropriate stakeholders to document project progress/gaps/actions..
- Responsible for the attainment of the project objectives including the review of project deliverables for coverage and quality.
- Work with the Engineering Test Department manager to assign characterization test resources and qualification resources.
- Prepare and maintain documentation and folders in accordance with established procedures in preparation for compliance audits
- Close projects in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering + 7-10 years of experience in a related field, OR
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering + 5-7 year of experience in a related field.
- Must understand basic project and product line financial metrics: ROI, GM, R&D Spend and contribution margin.
- Proficient in the use of Project Management, ERP and PLM tools (JIRA, SmartSheet and/or Arena desirable).
- Strong research, analytical and presentation skills
- Must have ability to level the communication to the right level of detail for the consumer. Details for the people working the projects but also executive summaries worthy of consumption by VPs, Sr VPs and C suite.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to deliver on-time results and be accountable.
- Detail oriented and extremely well organized.
