Position Summary:

The Development Test Engineer I is responsible for performing electrical tests of RF components, verifying the test data, and preparing test reports.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 per year

Job Function:
  • Understand the purpose and how to work with different types of test projects (E-run, H-run, Q-run, Characterization of new model, Application test request, FA test request, verify production failure, etc.).
  • Knows basic parameters for all Mini-Circuits models, how to find and read specifications.
  • Knows how to test with Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Power meter, Power supply, Oscilloscope, Noise Figure Analyzer, Signal Generatorr.
  • Prepares most test setups per 50 page on Network Analyzer and Spectrum Analyzer.
  • Understands how to verify the test setup.
  • Tests passive and active devices for standard parameters without supervision by using company’s test programs.
  • Under supervision, tests RF components for non-standard parameters (using pre-amplifier, testing of high power amplifiers, custom modules, engineering prototypes).
  • Reviews test data after completion the test, prepares summary and customized reports, and block diagrams, if needed.
  • Reports hardware and software issues to Supervisor or Manager.
  • As assigned by manager or supervisor, assists with completion of various test assignments such as HTOL, Burn-in, ESD, IV Curve, etc.

Qualifications:
  • BS Electrical Engineering or related field of study
  • Knowledge of engineering testing procedures and processes.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Ability to distinguish colors in accordance with Ishihara test for color blindness.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Accuracy, attention to details.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Organized.
  • Team player.
