About the Role:

The AR Specialist (Remote within TX, NC, SC, or FL) will provide billing and collections services for our clinicians. This team member works with insurance carriers and patients to resolve billing issues.  

Working Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm Eastern Time

Responsibilities:

• Billing knowledge of DSM-5, ICD-10, and CPT codes 
• Denial follow-up and resolution that includes appeals, disputes, or corrected claims 
• Researching insurance balances that are past due, unpaid, or underpaid 
• Communicate with patients regarding denials that need patient intervention to receive reimbursement 
• Collaborate and work cross functionally with departments to ensure billing is completed 
• Assist with special projects or other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent  
• 1+ years of billing experience required; physician and/or mental health billing preferred 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word) 
• Strong math, analytical and reasoning skills 
• Excellent customer service skills with previous customer service experience required 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task 
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
