Are you a student interested in pursuing a career in Application Development?  If so, MidwayUSA might be just the place for you!  As an Application Development Intern with MidwayUSA you will provide application development support to internal stakeholders by writing, installing and maintaining software applications and writing reports on demand using industry best practices.  An ideal candidate will have knowledge of application development practices and be familiar with OOP, as well as MS Visual Studio, C#, HTML, ASP.net & SQL.  In addition, an understanding of user interface design and source control as well as software management is preferred. 

To qualify for an internship with MidwayUSA, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. The intern should be within 12 months of completing all requirements for graduation from an accredited program. 
2. Able to work approximately 16 hours per week/2 hour block minimum at a time, during the school year and full-time when school is not in session. 
3. Minimum of 3.0 GPA
4. Enrolled in a qualified higher education program in a field related to the internship opportunity
5. Live locally in the Columbia, MO area

Sample of specific duties for the Application Developer Intern:  

• Meets with and documents the end user requirements for applications
• Designs or may assist in designing the specifications for applications based on user's requirements  
• Converts project specifications into a sequence of detailed instructions and logical steps for coding

The ideal candidate for the Application Developer Intern:  

• Will be/are pursuing a Bachelors degree in a technical discipline
• Innovative team player with a high level of energy, self-motivation and creativity
• Familiar with Object Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Familiar with MS Visual Studio, C#, HTML, ASDP.net & SQL
