Objective
Michigan CAT's Field Swing - HE is responsible to visit customer sites to perform small repairs, updates, and services on the road. The Field Swing - HE works on a busy schedule, often to a customers' demands, but gets the opportunity to directly interact with customers day in day out, to better understand their needs to provide exceptional service.
Responsibilities
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
A Field Swing – HE would meet all the responsibilities listed in Field Swing job classification. In addition, Field Swing – HE would be required to minimally have a Chauffeur’s License and Medical Card as they would be in a 1-ton type truck with a max of 3000-pound mounted crane in the field.
Other specifics to the position include:
- Can perform Service Letter Updates (Caterpillar sourced) limited to less than one day and not needing a large crane and/or experienced computer diagnostics
- Can perform updates, removal and installation of GPS units.
- Can be utilized as helpers on larger jobs.
- Will not be utilized in any Emergency Call rotation
Qualifications
To qualify for consideration, you must:
- Strong experience performing service and maintenance on heavy equipment
- Track record of being punctual at work
- Possess strong communication skill to gather information from customers as required
- Possess a CDL A and DOT Medical Card
