Opening:

Position Objective:
To facilitate the development of departmental annual activity-based budgets/forecasts and assess the impact of these individual departmental plans on the total corporate plan. To assess monthly departmental operating performance and to make the link between resources used, departmental goals, and financial performance.
Responsibilities:
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of the basic business of various departments.
- Assist in the development and analysis of departmental annual budgets.
- Assist in the maintenance of the corporate budget system tables.
- Analyze departmental monthly performance in terms of operational activities, efficiency of resource utilization, and financial impact, both departmental and corporate.
- Function as a resource for individual departments:
- Provide corporate perspective;
- Facilitate the link between performance activities and financial assets;
- Facilitate departmental budget reviews;
- Communicate information which affects departments' financial results.
- Production of various financial reports, statements, and spreadsheets.
- Analyze Operating Funded Capital projects.
- Review and analyze departmental forecast information.
- Preparation of various analyses in response to special requests.
Required Qualifications:
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of basic accounting, financial, and analytical techniques.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to quickly ascertain and communicate on critical financial/operational issues.
- Ability to obtain information from knowledgeable sources (financial, technical, or operational personnel, etc.) and maintain a rapport with them.
- Advanced computer skills with knowledge of spreadsheet, word processor, and graphic applications.
Required Education and Experience:
Junior Financial Analyst:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related area, MBA preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience in accounting/finance.
Financial Analyst:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related area, MBA preferred.
- Minimum three years of experience in accounting/finance.
Senior Financial Analyst:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related area, MBA preferred.
- Minimum five years of experience in accounting/finance.

- 80% -1st- 365 calendar days
- 85% -2nd 365 calendar days
- 90% -3rd 365 calendar days
- 95% -4th 365 calendar days
- 100% -After 1,460 calendar days.
For Employees Hired After 9/24/2014:
- 80% -1st- 365 calendar days
- 80% -2nd 365 calendar days
- 85% -3rd 365 calendar days
- 90% -4th 365 calendar days
- 90% -5th 365 calendar days
- 95% -6th 365 calendar days
- 100% -After 2,190 calendar days.
