Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor Level II (Lighting) oversees the supervisor of Lighting
Supervisors and supports the maintenance and safety of electrical systems within New York City Transit stations. This role ensures compliance with codes and standards while coordinating work in support of capital projects.

Responsibilities:
This position will supervise a group of subordinate Lighting Supervisors and is responsible for providing access and protection to all electrical rooms within the station environment. Schedules and processes on-time requests to electrical rooms for all capital projects. Reviews electrical bulletins and ensures work is performed in compliance with applicable codes, project requirements, and design criteria. Familiar with electrical testing and/or witnessing procedures. Ensures all work is performed safely and in accordance with agency standards. Performs other related duties as assigned.

3rd Year $115,888
Education and Experience:
Five years of full-time satisfactory experience with a major railroad or transit authority; at least one year of this experience must have been in a supervisory capacity.

Desired skills
- Proficient in the use of EAM.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to effectively direct, mentor, and evaluate subordinate supervisors and staff.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety standards, rules, regulations, and departmental procedures.
- Ability to coordinate with C&D and outside contractors, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, safety protocols, and policies.
- Effective decision-making, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, analyze records, and provide clear guidance on training, discipline, and performance expectations.
